Version 1.5 Update for E-mu's Emulator X Announced

E-MU Systems used the 117th AES show to announce the new Emulator X Version 1.5 Software, offering Emulator X owners a host of new features, including integrated software effects at the preset and multisetup level, auditioning of sounds straight from disk, and a new Single View Screen that allows users to quickly search and dial up sounds in seconds.

Emulator X Version 1.5 Software adds integrated effects to E-MU's Desktop Sampling Systems, offering two discrete software effects processors per preset with MIDI modulation (including wet/dry mix at the sample level), plus three effects processors per Multi Setup -- up to 67 simultaneous effects. These new software effects are in addition to Emulator X's hardware-accelerated effects (with over 600 presets) that can be used standalone or as VST plug-ins within your favorite audio/sequencer program with no CPU load on your computer, offering unparalleled flexibility in applying effects processing to your audio.

Emulator X Version 1.5 ships late November 2004, and will be available as a free software download to all Emulator X owners.
