You will notice that with all of these lessons the pattern remains the same. The only key here is to remember to shift your entire hand at the appropriate part in this scale. Don't forget to repeat the notes out loud. A B C D E F G A B C D E F then F E D C B A G F E D C B A (write them out underneath the notes on the TAB). You can use this technique anywhere on the fretboard. If you are just starting out get a diagram of all of the notes from the Bassics section of this site and highlight the whole notes and make this a daily part of your practice.
