eMedia To Release Blues Guitar Legends Enhanced CD-ROM

eMedia Music Corporation, publishers of the best-selling Guitar Method and Guitar Songs CD-ROM tutorials, announces the release of the eMedia Blues Guitar Legends CD-ROM. Scheduled for release in August 2000, Blues Guitar Legends is a groundbreaking title that teaches how to play blues classics, utilizing the original master recordings. This marks the first time that high-fidelity CD-audio tracks have been incorporated into a guitar CD-ROM tutorial.

Blues Guitar Legends will feature 10 monumental blues songs spanning six decades (40's-90's), including songs by the Allman Brothers ("Statesboro Blues"), Robert Cray ("Smokin' Gun"), Buddy Guy (Early In The Morning"), John Lee Hooker ("Boogie Chillen ... ), B.B. King ("The Thrill Is Gone"), Freddie King ("Hide Away"), Jonny Lang ("Cherry Red Wine"), Stevie Ray Vaughan ("Crossfire"), Muddy Waters ("Hoochie Coochie Man"), and Howlin' Wolf ("Back Door Man").

Original artist recordings of the songs are synched to an animated fretboard that displays and highlights fingering positions in real-time, on a virtual guitar neck. Full, note-for-note transcriptions of both lead and rhythm guitar parts are included, with standard notation or guitar tablature both present on each song screen. This provides unprecedented flexibility and ease of learning for the student. Simple chord-based versions are also included, providing beginners with an easy alternative way to begin learning the songs.

MIDI audio tracks will supplement the master recordings of each song, enabling the student to learn at a tempo best-suited to his or her skill level. Blues Guitar Legends is an enhanced CDROM that can also be played through an audio-only CD player, granting additional flexibility to the student, who can listen to songs via one's computer or CD player. Built-in accessories will include an automatic tuner for visually tuning one's guitar through use of a computer microphone, along with an adjustable metronome and built-in recorder.
