Launched at NAMM 2009, Novation's unique Automap 3.0 control software included major new features. The most talked about was its ability to allow the stacking of multiple Novation hardware controllers in the same session. Since then Novation have unveiled a powerful new feature, set to have a huge impact on DAW users…

Keystroke Assignment enables almost any combination of computer keyboard shortcuts to be assigned with a single click to any control on Novation's Automap Hardware controllers. (ReMOTE SL, SL Compact and Nocturn).

Now you can navigate your DAW in ways that far exceed basic transport control. For example; drop and jump to locators on the arrange page. Zoom in or out, flick between scenes and move between tracks/channels without ever touching the mouse or keyboard. You can also open and close windows, flick between screen sets, create or delete regions…with other functions too numerous to mention. In addition to this, the XY pads, trigger pads, and pedal controls are now fully implemented, as well as HUI support, a new drag and drop mapping facility and an Autoview mode option, bringing the GUI in and out of view each time you touch a control.

Automap 3 Standard is available to download and provides a free upgrade from Automap 2.1, delivering HUI control and a new start-up screen.
