Fender® Frontman™ 25R 25-watt Guitar Amp w/Reverb

I bought one of these a few months ago after my old beloved Fender Champion 30 died out on me. For 99 smackers, I thought it was a pretty good deal, until I plugged it in. True, the Classic Fender sound is there and it sounds great but, for a 25 watt combo, it would break up at high volumes. I remedied this by taking out the stock speaker and installing a new Eminence Rajun Cajun which transformed this amp into a true tone monster. Now, it has what I would characterize as a tube tone, with the Gain sounding like a classic 70's Marshall distortion which is perfect for Classic rock or Blues IMO. Plus with the Eminence, there is a major increase in volume as well which definately now makes this amp gig worthy for small club gigs or even large ones, providing you mike it. I suggest that Fender make the Eminence Rajun Cajun, the stock speaker for this amp. It'll definately make it a hot seller.

This is a great amp and I really enjoy it for practicing at home. It sounds great with the reverb but I don't care much for the overdrive on the amp. Since I added an effects pedal, this amp really belts out some good sounds. You just can't beat it for the price!
