Squier® Bullet™ Electric Guitar-Brown Sunburst

Since it was my first guitar, I didn't know anything about guitars when I bought it. If I did, I would have still bought it. It would be perfect with quieter pickups.

Features: Made in Korea. 21 frets, six strings. Volume and tone switches. S/S/S pickup configuration. Passive electronics. Strat pickups. Hardtail bridge with a whammy bar and Gotah tuners.

Playability: Skinny, fast playing neck. Very low, perfect action but you need to use light gauge pickups to avoid fret buzz.

Sound: I use a fender frontman amp with no effects other than distortion. The guitar is great for metal, punk, jazz, blues, and funk. I am considering a singlecoil-sized humbucker because the pickups sound good, but are noisy.

Durability: Great.

This was definately an impulse buy. I wasn't looking to buy any guitars at the time. I wouldn't buy it if it were stolen... I traded in my first strat after it was destroyed by a teacher of mine (send me a wholenote note and I'll tell you the story some time.)

Features: This is an Indonesian made guitar. The body is made of laminated wood, the neck is Maple - with a rosewood fretboard. There are 21 jumbo frets on this 6 string guitar. There is one volume and two tone switches. One tone is for the bridge and the other for the middle position. The pickup condition is standard strat s/s/s with passive electronics. The finish is plain cobalt blue and the body is definately stratocaster style. The bridge is stop tail and the tuners are standard chrome.

Playability: The action had to be modified on this guitar, but once it was set, the action is acceptable. The neck is INCREDIBLE. If I thought I could get away with it, I would take the neck off this guitar and put it on my Tex-Mex strat (If I still had it). It's not too wide like most of the Strats that I've played. This is definately a lower end guitar. The body is light, the neck feels good - it will probably be played at least 5 - 7 hours a week... and that's what counts. There were no flaws in this guitar (remarkable). When you rub your hand up and down the neck, frets don't poke your fingers.

Sound: I use this with a Tech21 TradeMark 60. I use it mostly for jazz, but the pickups are hot enough to distort nicely. The bridge position also gives nice distorted harmonics.

Durability: It seams steady. And since it's not wood, I think there won't be many problems with it being affected by climate.

I was looking at a Fernandez guitar that was similar to this, but after playing both, i choose this one. This guitar could be better if the volume was more presise, and i would buy this guitar if mine was stolen. I would never loose this guitar. This guitar is great for begginners, to experts i would say.

Features: It was crafted in Indonesia, the body a solid composite, the neck is rosewood. It has 21 single metal frets and 6 strings. It has 1 volume, and 2 control switches. It has 3 pickups. It has active electronics with knob pickups. natural finish.

Playability: The Squier Bullet is very compatible with what you want to do. I can get any action i want on this guitar. Very playable. The neck is very comfortable to play. Frets aren't too far apart, but not too close together. It plays better than my friends Global, and it doesn't buzz. There aren't any flaws that i have found in this model.

Sound: I use mainly practice amps, and my dad's bass amp because i currently can't afford a good amp. But it provides warm full sound. The kind that sounds good played more intense, for rock or metal, and also sound's good played mellow tunes.

Durability: I believe it is durable enough, I have taken it from my dad's to my mom's, to my grandmas, and friends houses, my siblings... it's lasted very well. the strap position is very comfertable with straps. it's a good stand up guitar.
