Ovation Celebrity Deluxe CC44 Mid-Depth Multi-soundhole Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Natural

I would not be able to buy another Schmidt, because it is somewhat rare, especially in the U.S. My favorite aspect is the rich sound (doesn't sound "Sterile"); the worst aspect is that the tuners are a little worn out. If you can find one, buy it!!!

Durability: It is very Reliable, No adjustments(ever, or since I've owned it). Hardware is in Descent condition.

The round back has always drawn my attention, I would definitely buy another if something were to happen to this one. It would be hard to make this better. Ovation is a love hate thing, but I have not found anyone who hates the sound when someone else is playing.

Features: A Korean made super shallow round back acoustic/electric. This is an oddball, there are no fret inlays, only the edge index dots, with the black finish this lends a very clean look to the instrument. (probably why it was stamped as a second). After lowering the action it plays great, a little thin unplugged but it really comes alive when plugged in. I know some do not like the Ovation sound but I am in love with this guitar, my Yamaha is gathering dust these days.

Playability: No flaws that I can find!

Sound: Currently using a small Peavey Rage amp for home practise, I play mostly rock (Metallica unplugged, Incubus...anything that catches my attention), the sound is full plugged in, a little thin unplugged.

Durability: Durability seems good so far, I am careful not to drop it due to the common problem of neck separation.

I tryed to play this guitar for 4 days standing and with no luck on getting used to its slant of the round back. It had to go back and get a credit in the store , I didnt have time to pick something eles out (KIDS) with me lol . If you can just sit and play this guitar its ok but standing is not an option!!!! I like to stand at home and play just as I would if I was live. Good thing I didnt take this to a gig before playing at home .

Playability: When I bought this guitar I was sitting down when I played it, but when I got home and put on a strap you cannt stand and play this guitar,cause of the round back in that case it makes the guitar tilt up from the bottom and makes you play at a slant, If you let go of the guitar make sure you have fast hands because its not balanced at all it will take a nose dive.

Sound: The sound was very good and clean

Durability: This guitar is not for live playing to hard to play standing up

Features: Features are pretty standard,it has the many small holes instead of large sound hole,21 fretts,single cutaway,

Playability: Thing is great,i play electric alot,fender strat,and finaly i can play acoustic like i do electric

Sound: Awsome guitar,bought to use in my band cause my other acoustic electric sounds good unplugged but like crap amplified,this thing is great,very little feedback problems,good tone and it plays almost like my strat,has good sound for country folk and anywhere else you want an acoustic

Durability: Ill have to get back to ya on this,havent had it long enough yet

Quite honestly, I think I'm hooked on Ovations. I rarely look at other guitars... Ok, maybe Martins... I would buy this guitar again and again. Maybe they could make this better by coming up with an attachment that keeps it from sliding around during live playing. My favorite aspect of this guitar is its dependability.

Features: Very typical Ovation. Probably the only "fancy" part is the on-board EQ.

Playability: Playability is great. It ain't a Martin or high end guitar, but it has good tone, good action, and is a very solid guitar. The curved back can sometimes slide out from under you when you are playing, but you learn to compensate.

Sound: I run this through a Fender Acoustasonic Junior. I play a lot of rock/folk and sing while I play. Sound can be pretty warm, but it brightens up when you start monkeying around with the onboard EQ. This guitar is solid on both stage and studio. In fact the onboard EQ sometimes makes studio work a lot easier.

Durability: It is great at steady live playing. Definitely up to the 2 or 3 hours I usually play.

This is a great guitar in a good price range for both beginners and experienced players who want a rig they don't have to be afraid to break out when the inlaws kids are around. Beautiful appointments, really handsome guitar, easy to show off to your friends and a great sound and action to boot

Features: OP-24+ electronic do a great job. Not bad sound unplugged considering the shallow body. Good action all along the fret board

Playability: Good Action Good sound, fits really close while standing with a strap very easy access to fretboard.

Sound: Great plugged in, still good acoustically when unplugged. A little weak for crowds but great for practicing

Durability: Lycrachord back is almost invincible, bought this guitar for its reasonable price and its durability. Use it for practice, lessons and to just hammer around on. Action similar to my Taylor 514CE

I love this guitar.Great for the beginner. It had the sound I wanted and plays like a dream for me. Kind of mellow sounding when unplugged, but brightens up when plugged in. It's been carried in a gigbag for the last few months and is not the worse for wear. Hardcase on order for it.

Features: 3 band EQ and pre-shape control (on/off) for piezo pick up. thin-back style

Playability: Nice for a beginner guitar. Does tend to "roll" while playing when seated.

Sound: Mellow when played as an acoustic.

Durability: No worse for wear as long as I have had it. Then again,I am pretty careful about taking care of it.
