Hohner HC06 Classical Nylon-string Acoustic Guitar

Let me first start by saying that the only reason that I don't give this guitar a complete five stars is that for just a few more dollars a bone nut and saddle would really help the sound. The real facts are that this guitar for the money is really hard to beat. I own several guitars considerably more expensive than this one, made of really nice woods and solid construction, but day after day this is the guitar that I pick up to practice with. It has a warm rich tone, not loud, but great for practice. It is a real pleasure to play . I could think of a number of reason to own this guitar but the one that comes to mind first is that its just a great guitar dollar for dollar, and if something were to happen to it I would definately replace it.

For the money it's an excelent guitar to learn on and the wide neck helps me finger chords some of my fellow students can't because they have expensive Martins with narrow necks.

Playability: I lowered the action as soon as I got it. I put SAVAREZ strings on it and people who played it thought it was an expensive guitar. They were surprised when they looked inside and saw the Hohner sticker. It sounds rich and full with the SAVEREZ strings.

Sound: I'm a student so it's an excellent student guitar. If I bang it once in a while I don't cringe. I am considering purchasing a Seagull guitar at christmas. By then I'l have been playing about a year.

Durability: It's a great guitar for a rookie beginner student. Once I get much better I'll purchase a Seagull.

This guitar looks cheap. I would not buy this guitar again. If it had better tuning machines and a different nut and bridge it would be much better.
