Hartke 4.5XL Bass Amplifier Cabinet - 4x10" & 1x5", 400-watts

Can't say enough about this box.
I've owned it for a few years now and have had zero problems.
A little on the heavy side for moving around but, I don't move it that much.
Sound is not colored at all and with my 3500, it produces every sonic aspect my Riki throws out.
For the price, you can't find much better anywhere and the guys running the large 15 inch drivers; try to keep up on fast finger runs.
Gimme 4 10s for spl any day over single large drivers.
The 5 inch is a nice touch for string impact also.
A great purchase for any bassist.

Overall i think this is a fantastic cab. I know a lot of people dont like Hartke, love em or hate em. I personally blew up a 1x15(200watt rated).They have begun upping the ratings on theit 1x15 midline cabs to 300 Watts(very necessary!). But I would put this up against any 4x10 for sound quality comparisons and bet on it. I believe it is Hartkes best product. This cab should have factory installed casters and Speakons for improvement. I would buy this cab again and probably will get another to add some wattage to my rig!

Features: This Cab sounds killer. Unbelievable frequeny range for a 4x10. It lacks a few features such as Speakons and casters,which have been added to mine.The 5" driver is a great idea, no noise or hiss, but nice clear highs!

Sound: I tried this cab in the store with a Warwick corvette Proline and a Hartke 3500 to match what i play at home. I was at the store to test an SWR 4x10, but it didnt have great bottom end.I compared it to Ampeg,Fender,SWR and a Hartke 1x15VX. This cab smoked the competition. The 5" speaker is dead silent when idling,unlike the Foster loaded cabs. The bottom end of this cab is better than any 4x10 ive heard. I received nothing but praise from my band mates at rehearsal, all experienced musicians. Definately give one of these a try if in the market.

Durability: I dont know how durable it is yet, as i have just purchased it. It is well made and heavy so it could probably take AND dish out some abuse. Ill give it a four because it is used and had been roaded, and it still looks and sounds great.

I'm actually in the process of selling this, but only because it's soooooo much more than I'll ever need. If I get into a big circuit again, this is absolutely my #1 choice for cabinets.

Features: Four 10" speakers, 1 5" tweeter, ported on the bottom, two input jacks. Carpeted, sturdy & heavy.

Sound: Perfect, egoless cabinet. You can get absolutely any and every tone you want here. Doesn't color anything unnecessarily, and has more low than you can imagine. Change what you think about 4x10s if you think they can't handle lows. This thing can rumble.

Durability: Certainly built like a tank, and weighs as much. But, #1, carpet always seems to be a bad choice in my eyes. Just gets torn and stained, etc., etc. #2, there's not much for gasketing, so I've had to tighten some things down regularly because of unnecessary rattling. And there's always those (mostly unfounded) rumors about Hartke speakers blowing out easy. Haven't experienced that personally, but know a few that have.

Clear sounding cabinet in all frequecy ranges

Features: Powerfull cab. with a wide frequency response.

Sound: You can get any sound out of this, from bright slappin' to heavy dub bass. Nice for rehearsals and small concerts.
