For a beginer guitar, this is really nice. It has a very nice color and the sound is good. It plays well and can be adjusted. I think that for $125 this is an exellent buy.
Features: When Horner says mahogany top, sides and back, they really mean mahagony laminate. It looks nice and sounds fine but probably won't last like a solid wood guitar. This is typical of guitars below $150. I am not sure what strings are on the guitar but will probably replace them after a few months anyway so that is not a big deal. The tuners were a little rough at first but seem to be getting better. They hold tune fine but can be tricky to get just right when tuning.
Playability: The guitar plays fine. The truss rod is adjustable and has come in handy. Since this is my first guitar, I thought that my fingers were going to die. Then I lowered that action as low as possibly with the strings buzzing all the time. It buzzed a little but was so much easier on my fingers. As my fingers toughened, I raised the action slowly, til the buzzing was gone. As I was working on barre chords, I noticed that the 1st and 2nd strings were pretty high. The slots in the nut were all the same across the board. I lowered the 1st and 2nd a little and now barre chords, whie still tough, are easier.
Sound: Several of my friends with more experience with guitars were impressed with the sound of the guitar when they played it. For $125, the sound is very good. It has plenty of volume with nice tones.
Durability: Since I have had this guitar for only a couple months, this is still in question. I think that it will be fine since I am careful with it.
