This imaginative piano solo medley of beloved Christmas carols is a lovely choice to introduce students to the concept of a piano medley. The carols,O Come All Ye Faithful; The Carol Of The Bells; God Rest Ye, Merry, Gentlemen; and Joy To The World flow together seamlessly with rich harmonies and sparkling rhythms. Effective as a recital choice, this solo is also an excellent selection for church services. Early-Intermediate (HLSPL Level 4); Andante to Allegro tempos; 3/4 and 4/4 meters; G Major/E minor; one-octave scales, two-and three-note chords, straightforward but highly effective writing for this level; 7 pages; 85 measures. Performance time: c. 2 minutes.
