Description: Waltz of the Elephants is a whimsical mid-elementary piece in the key of G with lyrics. The RH is written in the bass clef, while the melody often switches between the hands. Purpose: *Introduces student to playing in the bass clef with the RH. *LH crosses over RH, developing the ability to move freely around the keyboard. Suggestions for Instruction: *Practice the RH separately, naming the bass clef notes, if necessary. *Be sure to observe the RH staccato vs. LH legato phrases. *Sing along! Key: G Major
