A truly Great tab book from the truly great album from the truly great band. very handy to have around and the lyrics are handy too.

Well what can i say, the master is amazing, the note transcription is magnificent. the rhythm is great. lyrci inclusions are acurate to song not lyric sheet. lyrics also make for a good place marker

Very note to note transcription as played on Californication record. Precise, efficient and so fun to play. Learning what Flea plays helps you to get a good sense of rhythm and melody, which I consider to be the key of Flea's bass lines. It also trains your ear.

A great book, with very accurate transcriptions of the albums songs. With Tablature and Music, it's great to play, learn the songs, and the great techniques of Flea. A wonderful book.

This book is beyond helpful it has provided me with so much info, i can play all the songs and it has influened me to make my own aswell, the basslines in the aren't easy and most beginers or intermediates would find it usless but i thoroughly enjoyed it

I think that is the best rhcp album...flea is not so good as on one hot minute or blood sugar sex magik but its sooo melodical....i think flea is still one of the most melodical bassist ever !!!!!!!!

A very good bass book suitable for intermediate level players and beginners that want to bring their playing up to the next level. I personally started my bass playing with this one book, and I am thankful for it. Here is an arrangement explaining what songs are good for practicing what... Californication(a good song that most radio listeners will pick up), Parallel Universe (Excellent Speed Picking Exercise), Emit Remmmus (good hammer on pull off excercise), Scar Tissue (good muting excercise) Otherside (Very good timing practice, hard to master) Get On Top (Covers many subjects- speed, fretboard navigation, multiple string playing, slides, hammer ons, pull offs, muted notes, etc VERY HARD) Around the World (Good HammmerON PullOFF exercise, Very good fretboard navigation, speed) Easily (Good solid bass line, Not too complicated, many eigth notes) I Like Dirt (Good speed and timing with some muting to throw you off, not easy to play along w/CD) This Velvet Glove (Pretty sounding bass line, dual string playing, muted notes, not too hard) Purple Stain (Crazy slides will harden your fingers and will widen your fretboard navigation) Savior (Simple bass line good solid support, no solos) Right On Time (Try not to kill yourself learning the chorus, SPEED EXERCISE!) Road Trippin (Another pretty song, and the bass serves as support not main show) Well that's about it for the book, I would recommend owning the cd and working up to full speed on all of the songs you can do... This is the recoming of the RHCP's -this CD is probably their most succsesful but it is their 2nd best out of their CD's. their best would proably be Blood sex sugar magic. But over all this CD is great!

Its a transcription book. I learned every song in the book and i would say its made me a better player quite a bit. At first i found some of the stuff a bit annoying but i can easily play most of it now. The book didn't include a cd or tape because its an album book and you are suposed to buy the album :P Book could have been better with pictures of the band maybe. The best aspect would be the fun you get out of playing. Get this now if you like this sort of thing :)

This book is great.Fleas lines are possibly not as outrageous as on the early stuff but every bassline is melodic supportive upfront and a tune in itself.Isn't that what we want as bassplayers.SUPE
