From 1717-1720, Handel lived outside London at Cannons where he was resident composer to the Earl of Carnarvon, who in 1719 became the 1st Duke of Chandos. It was for him that Handel composed elevel Chandos Anthems, this one beging number 8, based on the opening phrase from the hymntune, St. Anne.

"I placed my order for an accordion on a Sunday morning before President's Day, expecting the typical delays associated with weekend and holiday orders. Then, to my surprise, the accordion arrived on Tuesday right after President's Day. I was very pleased, not only for the quality of service, but also for the quality of the instrument. The sound is beautiful, and I will play it in church this coming Sabbath. Many thanks"
