In this work Schnebel attempts to apply the idea of the Baroque canon · as exemplified in Bach's 'Art of Fugue' · to modern concepts of tonal colouring. The 'Motu proprio' of the 7 mixed groups of orchestral instruments intensifies within 28 short emotional sections to the Baroque 'Motu contrario'. In 'Diapason', literally translated 'in the octave' but in the ancient Greek music tradition taken to mean 'through or across everything' among other things, the orchestra is arranged into 13 groups according to families of instruments and tonal colour. Schnebel alternately uses the term 'fugue' in the strict sense of the Baroque period and in its more general, purely architectonic meaning. Study score.

"I just recieved my box of reeds in the mail today after 3 or 4 days and I am very much satisfied with how they were perfectly packed and how excellent they play and sound. I will be ordering from your site in the near future. Thank you for having such a great site that is easy to find what your looking for in the music field to order from."

-- R.B., Denham Springs, LA
"I must say your website is far better than any other I've encountered during my conquest for guitar picks sold on the web or at any retailer in my new town of residence. Your site was the first I've seen (of many) to have picks listed in an accessory department (the pictures were really swell) or any other I've checked, for that matter."

"I received my order today. Thank you very much for the quickness. I did not expect it to get here so quickly."
