Concentration on individual aspects of playing the bassoon will make it easier to identify and correct errors and imprecision. By working steadily through these exercises you can acquire a basic technique that will enable you to tackle difficult passages in the bassoon repertoire. Such meticulous attention to detail will help you achieve the freedom to follow your intuition in a spontaneous musical performance. Georg Klütsch, b. 1951 in Düren, trained as a music teacher in Mainz and studied the bassoon with Prof. Helman Jung in Detmold. For many years he was principal bassoonist with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Sabine Meyer Wind Ensemble. He was professor at the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Weimar. Since 2001 he has been professor of bassoon and chamber music at the Cologne Academy of Music, also teaching international master classes. Aims of this book · Tone quality · Finger technique · Articulation · The upper register · Trills · Intonation · Studies based on scales and arpeggios

"I really appreciate the effort you guys have to make your customers happy. I look forward to doing more business with your company."

-- B.W., Gainsville, FL
"My husband and I are really impressed with your customer service. It's a rarity to experience the type of attention that you have paid to this matter. The school where our two kids attend, has violin as a part of their third grade curriculum. After the customer service you have shown we both would feel comfortable endorsing your company to other parents at the school who will be needing violins and other instruments for their children."

-- L.R., San Diego, CA
"The beautiful violin set and music stand all arrived on time for my son's first lesson - just as you promised! You made the little fellow so very happy. The wonderful way you conduct your business is a real credit to your company. I wish you and Activemusician all the success in the world!"

-- N.F., Brooklyn, NY
