Things keep getting better and better for the affordable, rich sounding Aspire series from LP. Now Latin Percussion has applied traditional LP innovation to the realm of aesthetics. The result is one of the most beautiful finishes to adorn any set of bongos.

LP is proud to bring to the LP Aspire line a striking new look: the LP Aspire Scarab - a multi-faceted finish that combines contemporary and ancient design components. The new Scarab finish focuses on an intertwined motif depicting an unbroken series of Scarab beetles—insects considered sacred by the ancient Egyptians and figuring highly in their art and mythology. Symbolizing eternal life the Scarab was said to be sacred and has been found in stone, in sculptures, on amulets, and aligned as picture borders and in lieu of marquetry on fine furniture. On LP Aspire Bongos, the Scarab bands intersect upper and lower panels of glistening black lacquer. The contrast of the motif against maple center band is rivaled only by the juxtaposition of mirror chrome against jet-black lacquer.

The new look now adorns special sets of LP Aspire Series Bongos. The finish is exotic and fascinating, new to the world of drums. The new Scarab is available on select combos of LP Aspire Bongos. These drums are fitted with fine rawhide skins, topped with EZ Curve Rims, which minimize hand trauma. Even the snaking tuning rods are aesthetically in harmony with the curved Scarab lines.
