SH NFX EP-C Nanoflex Pickup with Endpin Preamp for Classical Guitar

SH NFX EP-C is a permanent mount endpin preamp system with Nanoflex undersaddle pickup for classical guitar. The battery is mounted in a pouch to the instrument's side or bottom.

Nanoflex pickups do not only take the vibrations of the strings like common undersaddle pickups. Nanoflex senses the vibrations of the strings AND the body of the instrument simultaneously. No other pickup technology gives you this high level of sound reproduction.

Due to active amplification directly at the pickup and 100% shielding of the entire system, no sound will be lost and no hum created.

The EP-C preamp is trimmed to the classical guitar with nylon strings and provides singing, soft trebles and smooth bass. The output is trimmed to avoid any distortion, excludes any overload and provides an absolute clear natural sound.

Nanoflex Technology

Nanoflex pickups do not only take the vibrations of the strings like common undersaddle pickups. Nanoflex senses the vibrations of the strings AND the body of the instrument simultaneously. This gives the equivalent of having a condenser-microphone mixed with an undersaddle pickup. No other technology gives you this high level of sound reproduction.



The pickup's flexible sensor made of 7 different, specially chosen material layers is capable of registering the pressure of the bridge saddle which transmits the string vibrations and at the same time the vibrations and movements of the instrument's soundboard precisely and absolutely accurately. To protect this pure natural acoustic sound Shadow developed an unique technology that amplifies and protects the sound signal directly on the pickup. Unlike other pickups, the Nanoflex pickup signal is not passing through even a single millimetre of the wire and therefore eliminates environmental disturbances before the connection cable.
