Instrumental Classmates 5 Pak (DVD)

The Instrumental Classmates DVD series has been designed to assist educators with introducing children to music and the key instruments in each of the musical instrument families. This DVD series exposes them to orchestras, marching bands, jazz ensembles, and, yes, even a jammin' rock band. But most important, it captures students' imaginations and inspires them to pick up a musical instrument and learn to play. In each program our host, P.J. presents members of the individual instrument families, often performing practical, easy to understand demonstrations of how the instruments work; he also gives a brief history of the instrument itself. Demonstrations are reinforced with on-screen graphics we call "Brain Blasts," These Brain Blasts are colorful animated graphics that reinforce the key topics presented. Each video explains how a musician produces that instrument family's unique sounds and exposes the viewer to different styles of music that the instrument can produce.
