Commissioned by the Sacred Heart Jazz Ensemble, Salina, Kansas, and director Milton Allen, this Victor Lopez original is exciting, challenging yet playable, and fun to play. Victor put those ingredients together and cooked them at grade 2. You may even hear a musical quote from a well-known Latin hit from the past. Contrasting ensemble sections, no improvised solos, and a hot line for the baritone sax are but a few of the distinctive elements that allow the Latin experience to come to life.
