Richie be gins by showing essential patterns used in playing bongo, timbales, maracas , guiro, and cowbell, while explaining their place in the context of a Lati n rhythm section. Richie takes the viewer through the basic rhythm exercise s, working logically towards the more intricate patterns. In addition to th e exercises, Close-Up on Bongos and Timbales showcases a full salsa band (i ncluding Luis Contš on congas) performing three songs that you can play alo ng with. The enclosed exercise book includes the exercises played in the DV D as well as additional lessons for developing technique. Beginner to inter mediate level.
