The Planar Wave System comes furnished with Barcus-Berry's 4000XL Piezo Buffer Preamp. The preamp has two outputs: one 1/4" jack (unbalanced) with 2K Ohm impedance, and one XLR jack (balanced) with a 1K Ohm impedance. The frequency response measures 5Hz to 30kHz (+/- 1dB). Other specs: S/N = 108dB, Noise = -105dBu, and THD - .005% @ 1 kHz. The unit will run on phantom power, or from a 9 volt battery.
